Open Yale Courses (OYC) provides lectures and other materials from selected Yale College courses to the public free of charge via the Internet. The courses span the full range of liberal arts disciplines, including humanities, social sciences, and physical and biological sciences. Each course includes a full set of class lectures produced in high-quality video accompanied by such other course materials as syllabi, suggested readings, and problem sets. The lectures are available as downloadable videos, and an audio-only version is also offered. In addition, searchable transcripts of each lecture are provided.

The Tufts OpenCourseWare (Tufts OCW) project is a web-based publication of educational material from Tufts University courses from all three campuses, with a strong representation of medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, and nutrition courses. Under the Creative Commons license, the website provides open sharing of free, searchable course content to educators, students, and self-learners throughout the world.
University of California, Irvine OpenCourseWare (UCI Open, formerly UCI OpenCourseWare) strives to bring UC Irvine to the world by making course materials, lectures, conferences, and other academic content available for free online. Its OpenChem project comprises video lectures and more equivalent to the lectures in an undergraduate chemistry degree.
Waseda University OpenCourseWare was developed in close cooperation with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in order to assist in building a basis for the worldwide educational network by OCW. The system is linked to the university's electronic lecture information search system where information on the syllabus for the current courses is available. Course materials have been published by faculty members who agree with the concept of OCW through the system.
