เปิดศูนย์บริการสารสนเทศว่าด้วยประเด็นการค้ามนุษย์
ศูนย์บริการสารสนเทศว่าด้วยประเด็นการค้ามนุษย์นี้เปิดให้บริการแก่นักศึกษา และประชาชนทั่วไปอย่างเป็นทางการในวันที่ 24 มีนาคม 2548 และด้วยระบบการสืบค้นออนไลน์ ผู้ใช้สามารถสืบค้นสารสนเทศต่างๆ ได้อย่างง่ายดายและรวดเร็วจากคอมพิวเตอร์ที่วางไว้ตามจุดต่างๆ ภายในห้องสมุด และจากการสืบค้นผ่านเครือข่ายอินเทอร์เน็ตที่โฮมเพจหอสมุดปรีดี พนมยงค์(http://library.tu.ac.th/tulib/branches/pridi) ซึ่งทำให้ผู้ใช้สามารถเข้าถึงบริการยืมระหว่างห้องสมุดได้โดยไม่จำเป็นต้องเดินทางมาที่หอสมุดด้วยตนเอง
The Human Trafficking Resource Center (HTRC) was founded on 24 March 2005. With its advanced online search system, library users are able to search for publications and materials swiftly and efficiently via the computers that are placed throughout the library. In addition, searching for materials can be done via the Pridi Phanom Yong homepage at (http://library.tu.ac.th/tulib/branches/pridi)which means that library users are able to lend books from the HTRC without having to come to the library themselves.

การค้ามนุษย์ คืออะไร?
What is human trafficking?
"การค้ามนุษย์" หมายถึง การจัดหา การขนส่ง การเคลื่อนย้าย การให้ที่พัก หรือการรับบุคคลโดยวิธีบังคับ หรือมีการใช้กำลัง หรือการใช้อำนาจบังคับในรูปแบบได ไม่ว่าจะเป็น การลักพา กลโกง การหลอกลวง การใช้อำนาจ ข่มเหงผู้ที่อยู่ในสถานะเสี่ยง หรือการให้ การรับค่าจ้าง ผลกำไรเพื่อให้บุคคลถูกควบคุม โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการแสวงหา ประโยชน์ส่วนตัว
การแสวงหาผลประโยชน์รวมถึงกรณีต่างๆ ได้แก่ หญิงบริการ การแสวงหาประโยชน์ทางเพศในรูปแบบอื่น การบังคับ ใช้แรงงาน และบริการ ความเป็นทาส ขอทาน หรือการฝึกงานที่คล้ายคลึงกับความเป็นทาส หรือการค้าอวัยวะของรางกายเป็นอย่างน้อย
“Trafficking in persons” shall mean the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of persons, by means of the threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person having control over another person, for the purpose of exploitation. Exploitation shall include, at a minimum, the exploitation of the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs.
ความยินยอมของเหยื่อ การค้ามนุษย์ที่มีความตั้งใจแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ส่วนตัว จะไม่เกี่ยวข้องกับกรณีต่างๆ ที่ได้กล่าวมาแล้วข้างต้น
The consent of a victim of trafficking in persons to the intended exploitation set forth in the above paragraph shall be irrelevant where any of the means set forth in the above paragraph have been used.
การจัดหา การเคลื่อนย้าย การให้ที่พัก หรือการรับเด็กเพื่อการแสวงหาผลประโยชน์ส่วนตัว ถือเป็นการค้ามนุษย์ ถึงแม้ว่าไม่ ได้รวมอยู่ในรายการที่ปรากฏข้างต้น
The recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of a child for the purpose of exploitation shall be considered “trafficking in persons” even if this does not involve any of the means set forth in the paragraph above.
"เด็ก" หมายถึง บุคคลไดก็ตามที่มีอายุต่ำกว่า 18 ปี
“Child” shall mean any person under eighteen years of age.
